Vacuum Coffee Brewer
Coffee brewing was a tedious task until modern technology brought us the products to save us time and effort, and give us that perfectly brewed coffee. As the more finely brewed coffee grounds give a classic cup of coffee, this long and painstaking task of brewing the coffee has come to an end now, with the new inventions. We can now sit at home, relax yet brew our coffee beans with that perfect texture. Those who like to brew their coffee at home may be familiar with all brewing devices, for the others, we are going to tell you about the Vacuum Coffee Brewer and the wonders of this machine.
Loeff first invented the vacuum coffee brewer in 1840 in Berlin. Thanks to him and his invention, we can now get freshly brewed coffee in no time. A vacuum coffee brewer works on the principle of creating a vacuum inside the machine to help the coffee beans release the oils. This device contains four parts, two chambers one over the other, a siphon tube connecting both the chambers and a filter. The bottom of the brewer is used to hold water, the upper chamber holds the coffee, the siphon tube is used as a channel for allowing the vapors and water to pass up and down, and the filter is used to sift all the coffee grounds. Once the water in the bottom chamber is heated, water vapor is produced. As the water vapor expands it needs more space. This pushes the water up to the upper chamber through the siphon tube. The hot water reaches the coffee and starts brewing. Once the water vapor gets enough space it will also move upwards. As soon as you remove the heat, the water vapor starts contracting and a partial vacuum is created, and the water is sucked back through.
The vacuum coffee brewer also comes with different names like vacpot or siphon coffee maker. These brewers can be made up of pyrex, metal or even plastic. There are also electric brewers available that provide functions such as a programmable timer, built in heating element, warmer plate, auto shut-off and nylon filter.
If this sounds like your type of machine, then get yourself a vacuum coffee brewer. On your first time attempt you may not get the best coffee, because the brewing needs a little practice. With time you will surely learn the art, and begin to create your own perfect coffee.
