Stirrers For Coffee
Are wooden or plastic coffee stirrers better?
Almost everybody enjoys drinking coffee, at least in the morning. It wakes you up and energizes you for the day. Most people like putting cream, sugar, or both in their coffee, so it is important that you have the right stirring tools available. Spoons seem to be too bulky and they are really just too powerful. Plus, spoons can be expensive. This is why wooden and plastic stirrers are becoming so popular. One question you might have though if you are not too familiar with either wooden or plastic stirrers is which material is better. So, are wooden or plastic Stirrers For Coffee better?
Neither wooden nor plastic stirrers for coffee are better. It really just depends on your preferences. When it comes to wooden stirrers for coffee, you will know that your stirrer will not melt, even if your coffee is extremely hot. Plastic stirrers for coffee will not melt either, as they are made from a plastic to withstand the heat of hot coffee. But everyone has seen plastic melt, and so a wooden stirrer for your coffee may be better for your own peace of mind.
Then there is the aesthetics of the stirrer. Will either wooden or plastic stirrers for coffee look better with your current set up? If you are going for the more organic look, then wooden stirrers may be a better option, whereas a more modern contemporary feel can be gained from plastic stirrers for coffee. The feel of the coffee stirrers are also different, with the wood feeling warmer to the touch than plastic. Once again it comes down to personal choice which you prefer.
The only real advantage to using plastic stirrers for coffee comes from the fact that they can be reused over and over again. The repeated soaking in coffee can weaken wooden stirrers, whereas the plastic stirrers are not.
Now that you are aware that there is very little difference between the two types of stirrers for your coffee, you can pick which ever one you like the best. Whether you go for the tactile feeling of wood, or the long life of plastic, or because one looks better than the other, you know that you have made the best choice for your own cup of coffee.
