Coffee Pod Maker

A coffee pod is simply a prepackaged amount of coffee that is self contained and sealed into its own filter. It is almost like a teabag, but for coffee. I say almost because the coffee pod is not submersed into the water, but the water is still brewed through the pod in order to make the coffee. These pods are yet another development from coffee companies in order to give the consumer a convenient way for them to have exactly the coffee they want, at any time they want it.

When pods were first introduced you would have to purchase pre-made coffee pods that contained different types of coffee blends. But now there is an actual Coffee Pod Maker where you can make your own personalized pods. This way you can have the exact coffee, mixed exactly the way you want it, made by your own hands, and available anywhere there is a machine you can slip your pod into.

There are many companies that manufacture coffee pod makers. This is because the actual mechanics of making a coffee pod are fairly simple. You take the blend of coffee you most love, and you seal it into a filter that is the size that your coffee maker uses. With such simple mechanics no wonder there are constantly new companies jumping in with new coffee pod making machines. Some are as primitive as a filter that you steam shut with your own clothes iron. There are others that resemble a panini press. You put the filter in the machine, the coffee in the center of the filter, close it shut, wait 30 seconds, open it and you have a personalized blend in a coffee pod. One more advanced coffee pod maker, from a company called Vinnci, hides the mechanics and makes the machine look very sophisticated.

These coffee pods differ greatly from the T-cups and K-cups that sound similar in function. The coffee pod simply includes a blend of coffee. Whereas the T-cups and K-cups can actually produce espresso and milk drinks like latte's, mocha's and cappuccinos. The coffee pods are for making different blends of pure coffee. No milk.

I know that if I had some great organic coffee, I would want to bring it with me in my own pods. That way I would always be able to enjoy a great cup of coffee instead of having to endure yet another cup of coffee they provide at the office.
