Coffee Maker Urn
If there is one single staple that is required at any office meeting, community function, or group gathering it is coffee. Anyone that is responsible for hosting groups of people knows that at a minimum they must provide coffee. Tea, water, and basic food are all secondary to this main requirement. This is why no self-respecting group that holds meetings can survive without owning at least one Coffee Maker Urn. These are the tall metal vessels you see at all meetings. They have a spigot on the lower part and a lid on the top. These incredible machines are time tested and required equipment to keep your guests from leaving the meeting early.
The coffee maker urn can be purchased in a variety of styles and from many different manufacturers. You can go for the traditionally styled 40 cup General Electric polished aluminum coffee maker urn or spend a little more on a modern looking and elegantly designed 100 cup Farberware stainless steel coffee maker urn. The choice is yours. Each of these urns makes a great cup of coffee, the differences in price are dependent on the size, the design and the features you want in the coffee make urn you purchase.
The first feature you need to select before buying one of these is the size of the urn. The size of the urn dictates the number of cups of coffee it can serve. If you have meetings where at most you will need 40 cups of coffee then you can buy an urn that serves 20-40 cups. But if you have some meetings that will need 20 cups and other meetings that will need 100 cups, then you need to buy one that has a 20-100 cup range.
Other features in a coffee maker urn include exterior gauges that show the number of cups left in the urn, varying speeds at which the urn brews coffee, drip free spigots, and the availability of automatic warming settings where the urn itself keeps track of the internal coffee temperature and makes adjustments to keep it warm. There are also urns that have the availability of multiple attachments such as little baskets for coffee supplies and cup holders to keep the stack of cups neatly organized. There are also coffee maker urns that have unique brewing systems that allow for easier cleaning after the meeting.
The coffee maker urn is a necessity for any group. The options when choosing the right coffee maker urn are endless. But you need not worry about each and every little feature. As the meeting organizer I would be focused on finding the machine that makes more than enough cups for the meeting size, and one that is easy to clean. This way I know the meeting will be successful because we will not run out of coffee, and I know I will not have any problems cleaning up afterward.
